World Cup Volt Hockey was shown on the final weekend of the IFF floorball WC in Uppsala

När VM-slutspelet för damer spelades i IFU Arena i Uppsala på lördagseftermiddagen visade organisationen för World Cup Volt Hockey upp sin idrott inför en fullsatt publik.

– Det är jätteroligt att vi fått möjligheten att visa upp fler former av innebandyn än den traditionella under VM. Vi tror att det är viktigt för vårt arbete med att bli en folksport att visa vår stora bredd, säger Inez Rehn, Inkluderingsansvarig på Svensk Innebandy.

Elinnebandy spelas i en elinnebandystol som har en maxhastighet på 14 km/timmen. Stolen styrs med hjälp av en joystick och längst fram finns ett innebandyblad där bollen transporteras. Reglerna liknar innebandyregler, men sargen runt planen är lägre och målen är bredare än traditionella innebandymål. I Sverige finns 11 föreningar registrerade, med spridning från Malmö i söder och Umeå i norr. På VM var det KF Heros, elinnebandylaget med Gävle som hemvist som visade upp idrotten.

Christer Ringh, idrottskonsulent och en av de viktiga initiativtagarna från KF Heros, är nöjd med lagets uppvisningsmatch.

– Vi har haft det riktigt motigt under pandemin och målgruppen paraidrottare blev väldigt drabbade av inställd verksamhet tidigt. Det är därför extra roligt att ha fått ihop laget och fått göra något så här roligt tillsammans, säger Ringh.

Elinnebandy är en av tre former av parainnebandy som kommer tas över av Svenska Innebandyförbundet från Svenska Parasportförbundet i framtiden.

– Elinnebandyn behöver aktivt positioneras mer och bredare. Det är vitkigt att visa upp mångfalden i vår idrott och det här var en plattform att fortsätta sprida idrotten men också marknadsföra evenemanget World Cup Volt Hockey. Tack vare bra samarbete med VM-organisationen lyckades vi med det och det känns jättebra, säger Jakob Westerlund på Gävleborgs Innebandyförbund.

When the Women's World Cup final was played in IFU Arena in Uppsala on Saturday afternoon, the organization for World Cup Volt Hockey showed off its sport in front of a packed audience.

- It's great fun that we got the opportunity to show more forms of floorball than the traditional one during the World Cup. We believe that it is important for our work to become a folk sport to show our great breadth, says Inez Rehn, Inclusion Manager at Swedish Floorball.

Electric bandy is played in an electric bandy chair that has a maximum speed of 14 km / h. The chair is controlled by means of a joystick and at the front there is a floorball sheet where the ball is transported. The rules are similar to floorball rules, but the edge around the court is lower and the goals are wider than traditional floorball goals. In Sweden, there are 11 associations registered, with distribution from Malmö in the south and Umeå in the north. At the WC, it was KF Heros, the electric bandy team with Gävle as its home, that showed the sport.

Christer Ringh, sports consultant and one of the important initiators from KF Heros, is pleased with the team's show match.

- We have had a really tough time during the pandemic and the target group of parade athletes became very affected by canceled activities early on. It is therefore extra fun to have got the team together and been able to do something this fun together, says Ringh.

Electric floorball is one of three forms of para floorball that will be taken over by the Swedish Floorball Association from the Swedish Parasport Association in the future.

- Electric bandy needs to be actively positioned more and wider. It is important to showcase the diversity of our sport and this was a platform to continue to spread the sport but also to market the World Cup Volt Hockey event. Thanks to good cooperation with the World Cup organization, we succeeded with that and it feels great, says Jakob Westerlund at Gävleborgs Innebandyförbund.
